April 24th, at 9:30-11:30 (Beijing Time), our Earth-Surface Ecosystems Sciences Lecture 2024 is honored to invite Dr. Yan Jin, Chair Professor of Soil Chemistry, to deliver a fascinating lecture titled “Colloids and Their Role in Organic Carbon Cycling and Retention in Soil”.
Dr. Yan Jin graduated from the University of California, Riverside. She has been awarded the Edward F. and Elizabeth Goodman Rosenberg Professor and Francis Alison Professor (the highest professor honor of the University of Delaware) of the University of Delaware, Fellow of Soil Science Society of American, the 2015 Don and Betty Kirkham Soil Physics Award (one in the world every year), the Chinese Academy of Sciences Outstanding Overseas Scientist Award, served as the Chair of the Soil Physics and Hydrology Division Soil Society of America. Dr. Yan Jin’s main research interests include experimental and theoretical investigations of transport and transformation of substances in soil and other environmental systems, experimental observation and simulation of colloid processes at different interfaces, and related application technologies. She has published more than 100 papers indexed by Science Citation Index (h-index 48) and been cited more than 7000 times, and was granted several U.S. and international patents.
