From October 20th to 23rd, 2024, the 15th National Congress of the Soil Science Society of China & Symposium on Soil Health for Future Generations were grandly held in Nanjing. More than 1,000 representatives from scientific research, production, teaching and other units participated in the conference.
During the period, the 15th National Congress of the Society was held. The conference reviewed and approved the "Report on the Work of the 14th Council of the Soil Science Society of China", the "Financial Report of the 14th Council of the Soil Science Society of China", the "Report on the Work of the 2nd Supervisory Board of the Soil Science Society of China", the revised "Articles of Association of the Soil Science Society of China" and the "Standards and Collection Methods of Membership Fees of the Soil Science Society of China"; elected a new Council of 146 members and a new Supervisory Board of 6 supervisors.. Renfang Shen was appointed as the Honorary Chairman of the Council, and 9 Deputy Secretaries-General and 26 branch heads were appointed.
Prof. Gang Wang of our research group was elected as a member of the new - term Council of the Soil Science Society of China and the director of the Soil Physics Professional Committee!
