Introduction:
The topic of my doctoral study focus on the effects of micro-physical processes on bacterial cell-to-cell or bacteria-phage interactions and their diversity patterns. Along this line, we have been developing an in-situ microscopic observation and individual-based modeling platform to quantify how micro-scale soil hydrophysical parameters and variations affect interactions and their coevolution.

ØEstablish a novel method for single-cell isolation of uncultured bacteria from marine samples by Flow Cytometer sorting system;
ØDeep analysis of diversity and information such as their morphological features, carbon assimilation and genome;
ØPolyphasic taxonomy of new species.
