Progress in Soil Science

Soil Environmental Quality

This course mainly teaches the status and role in the environment of soil and soil basic composition, properties and classification of carbon, nitrogen, sulfur and phosphorus in the soil and environmental quality, the selenium in the soil - plant system, fluorine and iodine and environmental behavior of the soil heavy metal elements and environmental quality, organic pollutants in soil and environmental quality, the radioactive material in the soil and the environment, soil degradation process and environment quality, restoration of contaminated soil, the soil environmental engineering, environmental soil science research methods, etc.

Soil Chemistry

This course is mainly based on the theory of soil chemistry, clarify the nature of the soil environment, basic characteristics, function of soil and environmental significance and the chemical process, the study of soil environment quality and its evolution law, soil pollutant migration into relationship with the biological health and human health, explore the environmental protection and restoration of soil science and technology.

Soil Science A Laboratory Course

This course is an applied basic subject of agricultural science and resource and environmental science. It serves soil resource survey, environmental ecological construction, sustainable agricultural development, regional governance and protection, etc. It is an elective course for environmental engineering majors.Through the study of this experimental course, students can further understand the physical and chemical properties of soil and its role in agricultural production and natural environment; More vividly understand the environmental processes of soil, including soil colloid chemistry and surface chemistry, soil nutrient cycle and balance, soil acid-base reaction and redox process, so as to deepen the understanding of soil function, and lay the foundation for soil fertility evaluation, soil reasonable cultivation and scientific management of land resources.

Soil Science B

This course is a specialized course for the major of resources and Environment. Its main purpose is to enable students to master the basic knowledge of soil science and soil science process, understand the important role of soil resources in sustainable development, and preliminarily master the agricultural management process of soil improving soil fertility and regulating soil process.
